A Library Committee under the guidance of the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce Board is being formed to start gathering information to begin the process of creating a full service library in Birch Bay. The Birch Bay area has a population of over 8,000 and pays approximately $550K in Whatcom County rural library tax dollars each year.  Several committee positions remain open for community volunteers who wish to help bring local library services to Birch Bay residents, families, and children.
