Birch Bay Watershed and Aquatic Resources Management (BBWARM) Advisory Committee Opening

BBWARM-LogoThe Birch Bay Watershed and Aquatic Resources Management (BBWARM) District is seeking citizens to serve on its advisory committee to represent local interests in Birch Bay’s stormwater program.  Applicants must reside in the BBWARM District and be registered voters.  Responsibilities include participating in public meetings and making recommendations regarding the implementation of the BBWARM stormwater program.  Appointments are made by the Whatcom County Council acting as the Flood Control Zone District Board of Supervisors.
Application instructions are available at www.whatcomcounty.us/boards/boards.jsp or at the County Council office at the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham.  Applications must be received by 10 AM January 6 to be included in the council meeting packet for review before appointments are made on January 13.  For more information go to www.bbwarm.whatcomcounty.org or call Ingrid Enschede, Program Specialist at Whatcom County Public Works, at 360.715-7450 x50787.
