7th Annual Angel Tree This Week!

aAngel285You can be a blessing to a struggling family in our community by providing a Christmas gift for their child as part of the Angel Tree program in Birch Bay.

Visit the Bay Cafe, Vonna’s Purple Fin Restaurant, or the Parks and Rec office at Bay Horizon Park this week and pick the name of a child off of one of the Angel Trees.

Then buy one or more of the recommended gifts on the child’s list and bring it (unwrapped and with the child’s tag attached) back to the Angel Tree site.

The church family of Water’s Edge Church in Birch Bay will collect the gifts and, on Sunday, Dec. 15, begin wrapping them in paper specially decorated by the children of the church.

The church will then distribute the gifts, climaxing in a special Christmas gift-giving service on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m. The whole community is invited to the church’s home in the gym at Bay Horizon Park as we remember those in need in our community, and share a Christmas goodies “potluck” after the service.

Water’s Edge also will be having a special candlelight service on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m. Bring your friends and family to celebrate with the singing of carols, lighting of candles, and the reading of the Christmas story.

If you have any questions about the Angel Tree program or Water’s Edge Church, call pastor Jim Carberry (389-3529).Bay Cafevonnas purple finWaters-Edge-Church
