Birch Bay Chamber Luncheon Next Tuesday, August 20th

Birch Bay Village LogoTuesday, August 20, the third Tuesday of the month, is the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce Monthly Lunch from 11:30 – 1:00 held this month at the Birch Bay Village Community Clubhouse.

Birch Bay Village has graciously offered to host this month’s lunch at their spacious Clubhouse.  Birch Bay Village is one of our Chamber members and Jeff Hoffer, the Manager of Birch Bay Village is excited to have the Chamber membership tour the Village following the lunch event.

BirchBayVillageGate400The address of the Clubhouse is 8055 Cowichan Rd., Blaine, WA, 98230.  You will want to allow extra time this month as you must stop at the security gate off as you enter Birch Bay Village.  When you get to the gate, identify yourself as attending the Chamber Lunch and they will point you in the right direction to the Clubhouse.

Lunch begins at 11:30, networking time, introductions begin at 11:50, some quick Chamber business and speaker begin at 12:15.  There is no need for reservations or to RSVP this month and it is our regular $10.00 cost, but we are having a cookout prepared by Birch Bay Village.

Paul AkersOur speaker will be Paul Akers, a local businessman and author, Founder and President of FastCap Manufacturing, a commercial success story here in Whatcom County.  Paul is also author of a book, “2 Second Lean”.  Mr. Akers will be presenting his journey with the Lean Continuous Process Improvement and be presenting with multi media and giving away copies of his book to all who attend.
