Nancy Ellis, Owner of Pooch Palace & Kitty Kastle Passes Away

Pooch Nancy EllisThe Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce was saddened to learn that Nancy Ellis, the Owner of Pooch Palace passed away on Monday, January 28th.  Nancy and her husband John created Pooch Palace & Kitty Kastle as a place for dogs and cats to have fun in a safe and caring environment.  Both Nancy and John have been strong supporters of the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce over the years, and additionally created the Annual Spring Fling for pets and people alike.

In June of 2012, Nancy, John and Pooch Palace & Kitty Kastle were named the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce Member of the Month for their dedication to Birch Bay and our community.  Nancy will be missed; but her impact on our community, her dedication to the love of animals, and her always smiling face will live for all of us.

  6. I loved Nancy and am so very sad to hear this news. She had been a customer of our business J.P’s DoG House. She was such a lover of animals and I respected her so much! RIP Nancy, you will be GREATLY missed!

  7. John Gargett says:

The fog is settling in over the Bay as we are coming up on a moderately low high tide where the wind will lap the waves with a gentle sound that sing to us. We lost a beautiful person yesterday, she was simply overcome. The tide comes in, the tide goes out, and life goes on. As I listen to Handels Water Music, I know our friend has been lifted by arms of Angels. Go in peace Nancy, you will be missed.
