A Report & Thank You For All Who Participated In Birch Bay Music Festival 2012

Birch Bay Music Festival 2012 ~Help Us Help Them

Dear Community Members:

Saturday, August 4, was a perfect day, the hottest day of the year thus far, with 9 great bands and singer/songwriters, 50 unique vendors, The C-Shop and The Bay Café provided tasty BBMF themed treats, two separate law enforcement agencies demonstrating their K9 dogs and training.  County Council Woman Barbara Brenner was our guest speaker endorsing WeSnip.org on behalf of both Whatcom County and The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Department.

Additionally, we had new attractions who donated their proceeds to WeSnip; Alger Community Church’s Gospel Mountain Railroad; a train ride for young and not so young alike, Pet Photography by Janelle Summer Photography, Pet Nail trimming by Dirty Dog Wash and a very generous donation retailing at $2150.00 a professional series hand crafted guitar donated for raffle by Cronkguitars.com.

Along with all the festivities the reason for the event was to raise needed funds for WeSnip.org, who is dependent on our communities in Whatcom County for support.

We are proud to state the total amount donated was $7,064 we not only met, but exceeded this year’s goalThis will indeed assist WeSnip in continuing their valiant mission of preventing animals from being born unwanted, unloved, and abused.

It is with heartfelt gratitude to you all for your contribution made to the Birch Bay Music Festival.  We are truly thrilled with the success of this year’s event and look forward to planning and bringing another fun day in the sun next year!
