This years Birch Bay Music Festival is this coming Saturday, August 4th, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This year will again benefit WeSnip.Org, the local no or low cost spay and neuter program that has done so much for our community.
As in last year, the Birch Bay Music Festival will be held between the Bay Cafe & C Shop at the corner of Alderson Road and Birch Bay Drive. There are 9 local bands, a Children’s Train Ride, over 40 Vendors, a Silent Auction, nail trimming will be provided by Dirty Dog Wash, Janell Summer Photography will offer pet photographs, Camelot Ranch Alpacas will have a petting area, there is a beer and wine garden, K-9 demos by law enforcement agencies at 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m., special guest speakers Sheriff Elfo at noon and Whatcom County Council member Barbara Brenner at 12:30 p.m., and oh so much more.
One of the items new this year are the limited availability of Birch Bay Music Festival T-Shirts that are being made locally here. You can ensure you get one of these T-Shirts on a pre-order basis (they cost $20.00) by calling 360-421-6838. Of course you can also try to get one the day of the event, but I would pre-order.
And if that was not enough, there is going to be a Raffle of a Cronk Professional Series Guitar and a Custom Deer Leather Strap. This is a $2,150 professional guitar! The tickets for the raffle are only $2.00 each and can be purchased at The Bay Cafe in Birch Bay.
