Have your children reach for the sky at a free summer kids’ event called “Sky” hosted at Water’s Edge Church in Birch Bay from Monday, Aug. 6, to Friday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon (registration is at 8:30 a.m.). Children 4 to 12 years old can come have fun all week or any day to the church, which is located at the Bay Horizon Park gym (7511 Gemini Road) off Alderson Road. Kids will sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and eat yummy treats, experience exciting adventures, and test out sciency-fun gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called “God sightings.” Each day concludes with Fly Away Finale — a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join each day for this special time at 11:30 a.m.
